Severe weather expected to develop overnight, continue throughout Wednesday

Several rounds of severe weather are expected to develop late Tuesday and continue through Wednesday evening, with the potential for strong winds and hail.

Incumbent village presidents reclaim seats in Inverness, Hanover Park and Streamwood

The three especially long-serving village presidents of Inverness, Hanover Park and Streamwood faced and appeared to overcome challengers in Tuesday’s election, according to unofficial results.

Several school board battles unfolded in Northwest suburbs Tuesday

Among several school board races in the Northwest suburbs Tuesday, Barrington Unit District 220’s was one of the most contested with six candidates vying for four seats.

Incumbents fare well in Lake County municipal board races

Incumbent trustees in several communities fared well Tuesday for seats on village boards, although there were some surprises.

The dining room at Tonality Brewing Company in Mundelein was full during the business’ grand opening celebration in 2023. Less than two years later, the microbrewery is shutting down.
