The City of Chicago Park District may offer seasonal camping programs,
such as allowing special camping nights within their facilities,
or organizing camping trips to faraway campgrounds.
The county districts surrounding Chicagoland maintain beautiful forest preserves with areas reserved for camping.
However, most preserves only allow scouts and other organized youth groups to camp.
